As the American Heart Association’s signature fund-raising event, the Start! Heart Walk promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun family environment. This year over 1 million walkers will participate in more than 500 events, raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 3 killers — heart disease and stroke.
About the Start! Heart Walk
The Start! Heart Walks are fitness walks in varying lengths that bring together companies and their teams to fight heart disease and stroke. Though individuals can register to walk, we encourage companies to create a team or teams for their company to walk in one of our Start! Heart Walks. It provides friendly competition, a reason to get fit and train for the walk, and creates a reason for employees to band together for a common cause.
