The Paul Bear Bryant Awards committee of the American Heart Association has announced that former University of Georgia Head Coach and Athletic Director, Vince Dooley has been named the 2010 recipient of its’ Lifetime Achievement Award. Please click here to learn more.
UTAH'S KYLE WHITTINGHAM WINS THE 23RD ANNUAL PAUL "BEAR" BRYANT COLLEGE COACH OF THE YEAR AWARD
Marc Tyson (left) presented Coach Whittingham (right) with the 2008 Paul "Bear" Bryant College Football Coach of the Year Award. Kyle Whittingham, head coach of the University of Utah, was chosen out of eight (8) finalists by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA).
About the Paul "Bear" Bryant College Football Coach of the Year Award
This award has been an annual tradition since 1957, and was adopted by the American Heart Association in the "Bear's" honor after he died of a heart attack.
