This information sheet discusses how to read the nutrition labels on your food purchases in order to make more healthful choices.  It overviews the following items that appear on the “Nutrition Facts” label and discusses the significance of each:

  • Serving Size
  • Calories
  • Total Fat
  • Cholesterol
  • Sodium
  • Total Carbohydrate
  • Dietary Fiber
