Check out another great opportunity for summer research training. The Medical Scientist Training Program Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship
(MSTP-SURF) at the University of California, San Diego prepares students whose goal is to become physician-scientists, through future enrollment in a combined M.D./ Ph.D program. The summer program combines research opportunities in a variety of labs with clinical shadowing in the UCSD School of Medicine, and exposure to students and faculty who are integral members of the UCSD-MSTP. Here, the variety of teaching hospitals, breadth of research faculty, scope of resources in the San Diego biomedical community, and beauty of the surroundings provide a unique environment to gain information about opportunities for a future combined degree.
