About Go Red North Dakota Initiative

Go Red North Dakota
…is an initiative launched in February 2006 by the Dakota Medical Foundation and the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement to improve the cardiovascular health of women statewide. The program will:

  • help women recognize their heart disease risk and adopt heart-healthy lifestyles
  • educate healthcare providers on cardiovascular disease in women
  • offer free heart-health screenings in local communities and targeted interventions in Fargo, Jamestown and Bismarck.
  • measure participants’ progress in areas such as physical activity, nutrition, weight management, blood pressure, cholesterol and tobacco use.
