On behalf of the American Heart Association and the Scientific Council on Basic Cardiovascular Sciences, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the Basic Cardiovascular Sciences Conference 2008 – Heart Failure: Molecular Mechanisms and Therapeutic Targets in Keystone, Colorado.

During this conference, state-of-the-art lectures will be presented by renowned experts and complemented by abstract presentations representing the most current research.  Session topics were selected based on the need for a comprehensive international symposium incorporating the latest advances in understanding of the basic mechanisms that contribute to heart failure. A subtheme of this meeting will focus on the role of diabetes and obesity in the pathogenesis of heart failure.  Read More
